In-person conversation with author Elissa Strauss about Care and Creativity.
How it works
Our members read the book and then gather for an in-person and virtual discussion to share their insights, takeaways, critiques, and top excerpts. Members are responsible for sourcing the book and reading it at their own pace.
As busy moms, we encourage to ‘read what you can’, and show up to hear from other perspectives. We create a welcoming and inclusive environment for open and respectful dialogue.

We select a book to read every month, you are welcome to submit your suggestions via the contact form. We plan to include a variety of genres, such as biographies, memoirs, novels, non-fiction, memoirs, and more.

The more the merrier. Our book choices will be focused on motherhood, but anyone can join– all perspectives and backgrounds are welcome. Reach out if you have any questions.

Attendance is not mandatory for every discussion. You can hop in and out as you’d like. Feel free to participate in the discussions that interest you the most or align with your schedule. Our book club is designed to be flexible to accommodate busy moms.

While we organize other kid-friendly meetups, we are hoping to keep the meetup sans kids to allow mothers to be fully present. But if that prevents you from attending, bring the little ones! We’ll figure it out.
